The Shulman legacy spans over a century tracing back to the early 1900’s when our Great Grandfather, Jacob, began servicing the Montreal community with horse and buggy. Our grandfather, Harry along with his brothers and son Michael continued the family legacy transforming the operation into one of the largest local carriers in the Montreal area. In the 1980’s Ian joined and had the privilege to learn the wealth of knowledge by working side by side with his grandfather Harry and father Michael. With growing trends of globalization and manufacturing moving offshore Ian saw the need to expand the family’s service towards ocean freight. Shulterm was created in 1988 and unloaded its first consolidated container in a small corner of the family’s warehouse, marking Shulterm’s expansion into ocean freight. Today Shulterm is located in Ville Lasalle with over 100,00 square feet and 30 loading bays servicing both its sufferance and 3PL divisions. Shulterm is a leading cargo distributor handling high volumes and enabling its customers instant visibility of their goods with their proprietary online tracking system.
